Air Assault & Snow

Friday my hubby graduated from Air Assault training at Fort Benning, GA. My parents live a few hours away so they were able to attend his graduation. I am so so so proud of him. He is definately one of the strongest (mentally and physically) men I know. Here are two of the pictures my mom got at the ceremony.....(she only got 4 and if you know my mom, you know that is unusual...we are all thinking she's losing her photographer mojo).

Daddy & my honey

Jeff & one of his buddies

I have a few more pictures to share, but maybe I can convince him to guest blog for me and tell everyone all about his experience. I would talk to him almost nightly and he would tell me some of the things he did, but I never really got a great understanding until I read a previous soldier's experience on his blog so I think it would be cool to have Jeff actually blog about it.

Today we enjoyed some quality time together. We went shopping (I finally got a real winter coat--it only took a year) and enjoyed mid-day naps.

Thursday night it snowed about 7-8 inches of snow and today was a beautiful 45 degrees with the sun shining. Then, about 6pm Lily & I decided to make a quick trip to Kohl's. Along the way, it began to hail....then snow. Not just small snowflakes, they were HUGE snowflakes! It's now 10pm and we have about 3.5 inches of snow outside on top of the 4-5 that did not melt....and it's still coming. So our super bowl Sunday will be spent at home.

Hey! I'm responding to your comment on my wall about links. They're super easy. Just type in the full web address you want to use then hover over it and it will have a hyperlink pop up. Click on the edit button and it will allow you to add what ever text you want ect. Super easy!
