iPhone Pics

Here are a bunch of pictures....told you I would finally share some.

This was Peighton Christmas morning after opening gifts. She was so exhausted and probably not happy that mommy & daddy were excited to open gifts and wake her up at 8am.
A few days after Christmas she started holding her head up much better and now she gladly watches the dogs while they play with her head held up high :)
Her hair was long when she was born, but now it's super long and thick enough that she can wear hair clips.
She's been getting a lot of quality time with daddy and special reading time. She loves to look at the colorful books while daddy tells a story about each and every animal/character on the page.
I just love this sweet face!
And she just loves her daddy.
This picture was Christmas day when they napped for several hours together.
She started loving bath time this month!
We have had unusually warm weather during December and January. We have had many 60 degree days so we have taken many walks! She loves to be outside and listen to the cars zoom by.
She still loves her Lambchop!
First picture of 2012! She made it to 12:25 am and then we both passed out HARD!
Ok that is all I have for now, but I have managed to take over 400 pictures and videos in the last month so I will post many more soon.

Hope you enjoyed looking at our beautiful girl.

Peighton's 1st Christmas

Peighton's 1st Christmas was very low key and filled with wonderful memories. We decided to stay home this year and spend the holiday just us three since Jeff will be deploying soon. Below is one of the many adorable outfits she got for Christmas. She was a very happy baby that day! This picture was taken the day after Christmas when she turned 2 months old.

Poor baby had to spend her week after Christmas recovering from getting her immunizations. She slept that day for nearly 12 hours and all night as well. Poor baby was not happy about the shots and neither were mommy & daddy.
Peighton loved each one of her gifts and smiled as we opened them. We cannot wait for next year when we are planning a trip home with family.
Here she is exhausted after we opened all of her gifts. She is one blessed baby girl :)
Peighton also got to meet Santa. She did so good considering some strange man with a funny beard was holding her. She really has only been held by us and our parents so I was surprised she did not scream. She did so great and posed nicely for about 30 pictures.
I am so glad we spend Christmas home this year, but we missed our family's so much. Times like this make me wish we lived closer so we could create memories with them as well. Sadly, we did not get a family picture on Christmas. We took that day to just relax, be thankful to God for our miracle, the miracle of sacrifice, and family.

Christmas evening we had a very delicious dinner at our neighbor's house. They were kind enough to have us over and feed us very well :)

I'm looking forward to next Christmas when Peighton is surrounded by many family members who love her and many who cannot wait to meet her still.

2 months

*First, I apologize for the lack of pictures. I got a new cell phone and have not figured out how to upload pictures yet. My next post will be picture overload!

December 26, 2011
Two months old
Weight: 11 lbs. 15 oz.
Length: 23 inches
New stuff: sucking your thumb! You love your thumb and when you need to comfort yourself you always turn to your favorite finger.
You are not a fan of tummy time anymore and when we put you on your tummy you will
cry until you fall asleep.
Your sleeping pattern has changed recently and instead of going to bed at 10pm you fight sleeping until around 11:30pm. It makes mommy & daddy very exhausted!

You are staying awake a lot more during the day. You usually take a nap in the morning for about 45-1 hour and then again in the afternoon for 3-4 hours.
You love your daddy so much! When you are fussy and cranky he is the only one who can truly calm you down and make you smile.
Speaking of smiling, you are such a morning baby! When you wake up in the morning you smile and almost laugh! We are highly anticipating your first laugh. You have come so close to letting out a huge giggle and for some reason no sound comes out. I hope to catch it on camera for grandma and grandpa.
We took you for your two month check up on December 30 and you were given a clean bill of health and we were told to keep doing what we have been doing.
You did get your immunizations (except one that the doctor was out of) and you cried only after the second one. It was so hard for mommy & daddy to watch you cry in pain. We both cried with you. Moments later, in your daddy's arms, you were back to our normal happy baby.
A few days after your appointment you became very fussy and screamed like you were in pain so we took you back to a new doctor to find out what was going on. We were told you had reflux and a small rash on your face. Now you are taking special medication that we hope makes you feel better and brings you comfort.
You are holding your head up very well these days.
You are also very interested in your surroundings and love bright colors....daddy got you hooked on cartoons.
You are finally noticing the dogs as well and you love to watch them play.

We still cannot believe you are two months old already. Time is going so quickly! I wish you could slow down, but I love to see you grow and learn new things!

***Christmas post to come soon with lots of pictures as well!***
