He's home!

So I'm almost two weeks late on this, but Jeff has finally come home from his tour in Iraq. This reunion was awesome! They get better and better each time. Our homecoming ceremony was at 4am and due to some circumstances it was delayed until after 5am....so after a long wait we got to see them!! Here are some pics from our wonderful homecoming. Thanks to Lily, Jessie, and Raul for taking pictures and video!

His welcome home lei

I spotted him!!!
This is me "patiently" waiting for the Major to stop talking and let us reunite already!

Hi honey!!!

First hugs & kisses are the BEST!

THIS moment, exact moment, could last FOREVER!
He brought home more than he left with!

Time to be a family again!

Thank you everyone for your prayers during this deployment and the many thoughts from our family and friends. Please continue to pray for the thousands of soldiers separated from their loved ones. We have several friends about to leave for another tour and I ask that you specifically keep them in your prayers. It never gets easier no matter how many times you say goodbye.
Many blessings to you all!

This blog is SO SPECIAL!! I found it on Kelly'sKorner and wasn't expecting it to have the effect it did on me! You re-uniting with your hubby just blew me away! I, too, went through that same kind of experience only it was my hubby coming home from a 13 month tour in Viet Nam and like your hubby-was in constant danger on a daily basis. He was stationed in Ben Hoa just outside of Siagon. He was there when they had the Tet offensive and I KNOW it was a MIRACLE God brought him home safely! As you know-thousands of soldiers lost lives on a daily basis in 1967-1968- while he was there. It was the longest 13 months of our lives. Now we are celebrating 42 yrs. of a wonderful marriage this coming December. So your blog brought back memories but just the pictures and reading what you had to say did reduce me to tears but tears of mixed emotions and joy that your hubby also was granted a miracle by God for sure-bringing him home safely!!

God bless both of you and praying He will keep both of you safe!!

Hugs!

Thank you Donna so much for your words. I'm so happy your husband returned from the war as well and God has blessed you with a 40+ year marriage. I know it was God and a pure MIRACLE that my husband came home alive along with his many fellow soldiers. We did lose one soldier so we cannot forget him. PVT Lotter gave his life for this war and God has used his life in many ways since he died on December 31, 2008.

I am so glad you found your way to my blog!

Thank you again Donna
