Surprise Road Trip

We finally arrived in PA yesterday around 6pm. After 22 long hours, we called his mom to let her know we were 5 minutes away to come outside. (His little sis had NO idea)! So once we came around the corner his little sister looked at us with a confused look then she ran so fast into Jeff's arms. I wish I took a picture--it was truly priceless. They both cried (and will kill me for telling everyone that). Her reaction was so sweet with 3 years worth of hugs and love for her big brother. His mom had a yummy meat-free lasagna waiting for us. I took a shower and passed away so quickly.

Today is our first and only full day during our quick trip. This morning I took his little sister to get manicures for her birthday. It was great spending some quality time with her. Last time we saw her she was 10 years old playing with plastic horses...now she's almost 14 riding her own horse. After manicures, Jeff took her for some ice cream for quality time while his mom and I made Easter Bunny cupcakes for some of her family friends. Then, after yet another wonderful lunch his mom took me to pick out a brand new coach bag--she's the best!

Tonight my mother-in-law made Jeff's favorite dinner tonight--dorito casserole. After dinner, his sister, cousin, myself, Jeff, mom, and his dad dyed Easter eggs while discussing Yankee Baseball and the anticipation of the new baseball season--WHICH STARTS TOMORROW!

Tomorrow we are attending church, having brunch with family, preparing for our Easter feast, then enjoying an hour of baseball before heading back to Colorado.

I have so many pictures to share, but for some reason my blog will not let me upload right now. I promise to have a lot of photos to share tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter holiday with your family and loved ones. May we all remember the reason for this celebration and the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for our lives.

God bless all of my loved ones, friends, family, and those I do not know.
Jesus said, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem."
Luke 24:46-47

Omgosh! I just re-read what I wrote...I did not mean to say "I passed away" I meant to say "I passed out"!
