I forgot to mention in my 18 week post that I am a little worried about movement. I have not felt her as much as I feel like I should. Occassionally I will feel her, but not very often. When did you start to feel your baby move? Is it normal that I don't feel her as often as I want to/think I should.
I'm probably over reacting, but if anyone else didn't feel the baby so much at 18 weeks that would make me feel a lot better.
Ok, no more complaining.

Yup - totally normal! For a few weeks it was just random movement, no pattern, no set amount per day and I was the same it freaked me out. As of the last two weeks maybe it becomes more and more common, and I can feel him ALL the time. Rolls, punches, fingers tapping I swear! It will become more steady and more common in a few weeks, 18 weeks is still soooo early!!! =)
so I had to look back at my blog and see if i wrote anything about mason moving the earliest one I found was when I was 5 months. Cant wait to see you when you get back!!
I didn't feel either of my babies until 20 weeks, so you are good! I was also worried (both times) about not enough movement but baby is still small and still has plenty of room to move without you being able to feel her. If it's in your budget, perhaps you can invest in a fetal doppler. I found mine on Ebay for around $75, but it eased a LOT of worry at times with both of my pregnancies. You're almost half way, girl... I'm SO excited for you!! xx
With it being your first baby, a lot of women haven't even felt the baby move at this stage. I think I was around 17 or 18 weeks with #1. But, it is so inconsistent those first few weeks. You won't recongnize some of the movement because you are busy, and some of it just isn't strong enough to reach your abdomen. My placenta is in the front this time, so I don't feel baby girl move as much as I did Isaac at 20 weeks. I still feel her, but it is pretty random. As your baby (and mine) get bigger, you'll notice more patterns to her movement. Like, in the evenings when you sit down, or after lunch, etc. Or, when she's even bigger, at night when you are trying to sleep. ;)
Do you know where your placenta is located? If it is anterior, you won't feel movement as early or as strongly. In my last pregnancy, I had an anterior placenta, and while I felt movement early on, I didn't feel the big movements that I do at this time.
